Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes to make a successful music program? Do you rely on our young musicians to tell you what’s going on but feel like you’re missing something?
Be in the know by getting more involved. We need new Board Members to join our vibrant Nathan Hale Music Boosters. Make a difference with your great ideas and energy! Ready to join the board for the 2019-20 school year (or at least sign up to learn more about volunteering with the Boosters)? Send us an email or learn more…
How? Stop by our Boosters information table at one of our last performances of the year. Board Chair Carolyn Price will be there to answer your questions and welcome your support.
When? June 5 (Orchestras & Wind Ensemble) or June 12 (Vocal & Jazz Band and Concert Choir); both shows start at 7 p.m.
Where? Nathan Hale Performing Arts Center (Info. table will be in the foyer near the bake sale.)
Why? Our teachers and students rely on Music Boosters’ support to ensure all students at our school have access to a top-quality music program that enriches their education and our community.
Did you know that the school district provides less than one dollar per student for our music program? Be part of the Boosters and help our music program thrive!
Thanks for your support. We’re getting better every year!

Congratulations to the Nathan Hale Wind Ensemble flute quartet! They worked hard to make it to the WIAA State Solo and Ensemble Contest at Central Washington University in Ellensburg. Pictured here with permission: Cordelia Zogbaum, Jamie Achtmeyer, Adele Koenig, and Gabe Landau. The group had placed first in the Seattle adjudication contest in March and advanced to the state competition. Jamie was also first alternate in Flute Solo but did not compete. Thanks to Katrina Sibicky, Nathan Hale’s wind ensemble and orchestra director, for accompanying the quartet.
Hello! I’m so glad you’re considering auditioning for Hale’s Vocal Jazz choir for the 19/20 school year! Below you’ll find the backing tracks for Fly Me to the Moon in 2 different keys. Be sure to choose the one that is right for your voice part. Feel free to email me at email@example.com if you have questions/concerns!
Thank you, parents, students, staff, and community, for helping us make our first mattress fundraiser a big success! We raised a lot of $$ to fund our fantabulous music program, and we had a lot of fun!
1. Monday, March 4 – First Parent Meeting
of 2019 Please join us in the
Nathan Hale choir room from 7-8 p.m. to celebrate what we’ve accomplished so
far and learn what’s next.
2. Sunday, March 24– First-Ever Mattress Fundraiser! Sounds a little wacky, BUT it’s the new trend among music programs across the nation. Why? Because it costs us nothing to host, and, according to the stats and schools we talked to, it raised thousands of dollars in a day.
In addition to bringing baked goods, setting up and cleaning up, we also need one reliable volunteer to pick up Banh Mi sandwiches on Lake City Way and bring them to the school. If you sign up for this, Jen (our fundraising chair) will give you all the details.
We know you guys will rally! If you have not yet volunteered, please consider this easy opportunity to make a difference. If you have volunteered, please consider doing so again and helping lead new volunteers. Thank you!!!
Also, if you’d like to get more regularly involved, we’re hoping to find something akin to a Room Parent for each music discipline (orchestra, choir, band, etc.). If that sounds interesting to you, please send a message to haleinstrumental.
Please join us for a wonderful night of beautiful singing at the combined Eckstein and Hale choir concert.
WHAT: Eckstein and Hale Joint Choir Concert
WHEN: Wednesday, 12/19; 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. PST
WHERE: Nathan Hale Performing Arts Center
We need baked goodies and a few good volunteers! Nathan Eckstein Middle School parents and Nathan Hale High School Music Boosters are co-sponsoring a bake sale (plus Banh Mi sandwiches). Please consider contributing a homemade or store-bought treat. We also need volunteers to help with other tasks such as setup, sales, and cleanup. Thank you for supporting our young, talented musicians!
